To make this mgazine cover, we had to place the image then rotate it horizontly

once  I done that, I had to change the contrast of the image then make it black and white

once i had done this i added the masthead and coverlines then changed the background to blue.

This is not finished yet, I need to move the images left a bit more then add text

Lady gaga magazine cover

To make this magazine cover, I used photoshop

First of all I placed the image, then I masked the image neatly so then I would be able to duplicate the layer.

Once I had finished masking and duplicated, I added the masthead.

The font I chose for the masthead, stands out and is legable.

I made the colour of the masthead a dark purple colour, almost black.

This makes the masthead easier to read then if it was a colour that was a close shade to the background.

For the coverline "Lady gaga", i wanted this to stand out the most so I put it in a different font from the rest of the text on my magazine cover, I made the colour of "Lady Gaga" the same shade as her hair so it is legable and goes with the images.

For the other coverlines, I used simple fonts and some of the fonts are the same as the title.

My colourscheme is gold, plae pink and 2 shades of purple.

All these colours go with the image of Lady Gaga and are legiable and stand out against the background.

I made the fonts all similar colours and fonts and got rid of some coverlines that I did not really need to have.

Kanye west

This is my Kanye West magazine cover, I used photoshop to create the cover and used the masking tool to make it look profesional. I stuck to using a colour scheme of red and black, and used rulers but my title went over the ruler lines, it is still work in progress. I gave the masthead a big outline to make it look more attractive but if i could change something i would make the other bits of texts on the magazine cover stand out a bit more and make them more legiable. I would aslo move the image to the center so i could add more text on the right side.
After I had masked i used the brush tool to make the image of Kanye West look more profesional and less fake looking, to mask the image I used the magic wand tool anf then changed the size of the wand to make masking the image more easy.
I also used a lot of different layers and to get the masthead behind Kanye West, I changed what layer the masthead was on and dragged it inbetween the masked and unmasked images of Kanye West.

This is my new version of the Kanye West magazine cover

I made the coverlines larger so they stood out more but I could not get rid of the big outline on the mast head

It is still very similar to the first one I just changed a few things around
