twilight vox pop

Twilightvoxpop by xxEmmie.Cxx

To make this I had to ask a voxpop question, "Edward or Jacob", once the recording was done, i had to edit it on Audacity. In the recording there where lots of gaps, so I had to delete a lot of bits from the sound clip. I also changed the volume because some bits were louder then others. I also made it have a natural flow to it.

media ducking

Media ducking by xxEmmie.Cxx

To make this, I had to import a sound clip into audacity sound and then add music underneath it- a music bed. I then muted the music so I could just edit the spoken bit of audio and delete bits, change the volume and other stuff. Then I un muted the music and had to use the envolope tool to change the volume. I had to make the music bed less louder where there are spoken bits of audio- this is called ducking. Then where there were gaps with no spoken audio i had to make the music bed louder. I think for this i acheived a distinction because the volume is well balanced and i can explain why i chose the music and explain the effect of it has on the audiance, which is a positive effect.

vox pop ! what do you prefer... by xxEmmie.Cxx
To make this, in a group we had to do a bit of recording to get peoples answer to the voxpop question. Once this was done I had to edit it. I deleted a lot of bits and used the envolope tool to change the volume.
I think for this I achevid a pass or a merit

Mood Board

These mood boards are for a boys gaming magazine for 14 +
For the first mood board I chose what Boys like so people can see what the actual target audiance is, such as they like football, sports and other stuff.
The second mood board is what I would advertise in a gaming magazine, which would be games, characters in games that lots of people know of such as mario and sonic. I aslo would advertsie some games concel because it is a gaming magazine

Kim Kardashian 100 words

Divorced in 72 days!
Kim Kardashian divorced her new husband Kris Humphries in just less than two months! The couple started going out in October 2010. Then Kris and Kim got engaged in May 2011. Everyone was very excited and Kim spent a huge sum of money on the wedding! She spent a huge $2.5 million on a 65 carat sparkling diamond headpiece! Their wedding then took place on August 20 2011. The couple got married in sunny California; Kim wore an expensive wedding dress designed exclusively for her.
After blowing off this huge amount of money, in a short space of time Kim divorced with Kris because she “was not ready”
This also goes over the word limit of 100 and is 112 words, this is not the best aritcal I have wrote and I think to improve I should of exagerated a bit more to make it sound a bit more over the top

Divorced in 72 days!

Then soon after the wedding just seventy-two days gone by Kim Kardashian was seen without her wedding ring on in LA, and then she confessed to the press that She had divorced Kris. She says “I was not ready for it”. Kim was upset after she had divorced from Kris but she said it was for the best. Kris did not take the divorce to well and became upset and angry with Kim, especially because they were only married for 72 days. Once Kris had gotten over the divorce, he made up with Kim and they are still good friends.  However A source from a website states that “it was pretty much an arranged marriage from the start”. “Kim was looking for a husband and Kris was selected for her, amongst others. She was not really in to him but hoped she would develop feelings for him, but it never happened”

To Improve this work I should use more of the 5W's and also stick to the word limit beacause I went over 200 words, this artical is actually 240 words long !

Evaluation!

Media evaluation
1)      The main skills I developed by doing all of the task above are how to mask an image to make it look professional, how to create a magazine cover in Photoshop by adding text and the masthead, to do this I also had to choose the right colours and fonts to go with the image I chose. Some other skills I developed were how to make an image go from colour to black and white. I also learnt how to create a fashion page in Photoshop, I had to mask loads of different images of clothes, choose a theme for my fashion page and add text, and I even added shadows to the images of clothes to make them stand out more. I also learnt all these skills whilst creating a fashion frame page for a magazine.
For the Indesign work I had to do, I learnt how to create a 3 column layout by adding frames, an image and pull quotes and place holder text. I also learnt this for the double page spread but for that I learnt more about drop caps and how to make your work look like it was an actual page for a magazine. For the Lady Gaga page I also learnt how to wrap text do it goes around the image.
I learnt how to write an article for a magazine/ newspaper by using the main pieces of information and the 5ws’ which are, who, what, when, where, why.
Other skills I gained was how to write a professional script by using the right font and sticking to the rules, such as the slug line and the characters name always being in the capitals. I also learnt how to create a story bored and different camera angles/ movements.

2)      The task I enjoyed the most would have to be creating my own magazine cover. I enjoyed this the most because I learnt a lot about what goes on the cover of the magazine, and how each magazine makes their own cover look unique and stand out. I liked then using some ideas from other magazine covers to create my own cover.

3)      The skill I would be best at is probably writing scripts because it is the easiest thing to do and I found it fun to think up of my own story and then show how I would like it to be acted out.

4)      I think I could use these skills in the future on this course by creating my own magazine, with the front cover and the pages. Also if we write a script then do a story bored for it I could then film it.

5)      The skill I need to get better at is masking images, even though making my own magazine cover was my favourite task I found it hard to mask the image because I always forgot how to.

6)      To get better at masking images I could do more work on Photoshop and mask different images and then maybe each time I try to mask the image it will become more clear to me. Or I could watch a video on how to mask an Image on Photoshop and then write down what I need to do in my book then try and use this to mask an image on Photoshop and make it look professional
