Double page spread

This is a double page spread, I had to create a double page spread with 3 coloumns on indesign.
Once I had created the two pages with 3 coloumns I added all the frames. This time I had a lot more then 4 frames. At first I placed the image of the two people shopping, then I added the place holder text for the first page. Once this was done I added a pull quote and made the background pink because I think it went well with the shopping theme. Once I had finished the pull qoute on the first page I had to work on the second page.
I added lots of place holder text and then created 4 small frames to place the head shot images in. I had to resize the images carefuly beacause at first they went outside the frame. After I had added all these images, I had to use the text wrap tool to push the text futher away from the image to make it look professional. Once I had done all this I decided to add another pull quote in a different shade of pink and use a bolder font to make the second page have a bit more colour.
I was also able to show people how to do all this.

3 coloumn layout

To create this I had to open a new indesign page and create a 3 coloumn spread.
Once I had done this, I created 3 new frames to place the text in.
I had to add another frame to place my image in.
Once I had done this i placed the image in a frame.
Then I had to change some of the frames around and drag the top part of the frame down.
Then I added the placeholder text.
To create the pull quote, I made a new frame and changed the colour of the frame to red because red went well with the image. After I had done this I added text and made it bold so it would stand out.

3 coloumn layout 2
This is my improved layout, I made the pull quote more to the centre so it looks better

Lady Gaga Indesign

I created this page using indesign
At first I created a 3 coloumn spread then added different frames
After adding the frames I placed the image then used place holder text.
The text went over the image so I had to use the pen tool and click around the outside of the image.
After I had used the pen tool, I used the text wrap tool to move the text away from the image.
I think I moved the text to far away from the image though.

Get the look

This is my Get the look work. I had to mask the images really carefully and choose a theme so that everything would go well together. I masked the boots and the t-shirt a bit badly so I could not add a shadow around them because it looked strange. I added a shadow to all the other items of clothing that I masked well because it made my work look more intresting. Without the shadows it looked a bit boring.
I choose red for the shadows and the text because it stood out amongst the clothing.
I decided to overlap some of the images because it looked more like a fashion page in a magazine.
I chose a big masthead so it would stand out the most on the page.
I stuck with a rock n roll thing because I tought it would be more intresting and profesional to choose a theme rather then put some random images together that don't go very well together.
To improve I think I should of masked the boot and the t-shirt more neatly so then I could add a shadow to them.

Fashion page

To make this i had to choose a frame, and the reason I chose this frame is because it was easier to mask.
I put a ruler in the middle of the page so I could work on each seprate page bit by bit.
I masked the images neatly and for the items of clothing I chose colours that all go nicely together so it does not hurt your eyes to look at.
I chose a twirly font because I though it went well with the type of style I had chosen. I decide too make the text black because it is legable and stands out against the white background.
For the other part of the page I put a floral print in the background so it would have more detail to the fashion page. I masked the image of the girl really neatly so it looks profesional.
I stuck with the font I used before and the same colour.
To improve I would of moved the floral background down a bit because it sort of overlaps the frame.
To make it look even better I would of also added shadows too outine the clothes to give this fashoin peice more depth

Fashion page 2!
This is my new fashion page, I added a masthead then gave it a shadow to make it stand out so the reader will know what they are reading about!
